And So It Begins . . .

As Americans living at the beginning of the Twentieth First Century, we should consider ourselves fortunate individuals. Our gratitude to the fates should not be for the unprecedented material comforts we possess, but because we live in a time of major changes in the social, political and economic currents of our nation. We have been thrust on to the stage of history at a moment when the United States faces a catharsis over the nature and uniqueness of American Culture and the American Identity. We live at a time where a growing public sentiment disapproves of the political status quo, but no alternative has received a consensus of support. As more working Americans approach retirement and our nation seeks its niche in the world economy, we face an era of economic ambiguity. Despite the convulsions, pitfalls and timultious times ahead this is a season opportunity for adventerous, foresighted and intrepid people to offer a new conception of the United States. Before us lies the occaision to revolutionize the nation we call our home.

This modest parcel of the internet exists to convey my humble recommendations. The title of this blog espouses my cardinal principles. "American" refers to my view that before one can seek to solve the problems of others, they must first solve their problems; the United States must but its house in order before it can seek to help the world. "American" also emphasizes my conviction that all cultures, including that of the United States, are intrinsically unique and should be preserved by the people of that culture. "Freedom" declares my belief that individual liberty is an immutable characteristic of the human condition and it must be embraced because it is the lifeblood civilization. "Front" conveys my opinion a the long lasting transformation of the United States cannot be achieved by a partisan faction, or majoritarian fiat, but through broad based coalitions focused on policies and reforms that build agreement, not division. As a writer, it is my goal to discover and proffer those policies and reforms and help build those broad based coalitions.

As I close this brief introduction I promise you my efforts will be consistent, my opinions based on principle and my entries frequent. I look forward to writing and receiving your feedback. Thank you for reading.
